—RESULTS UPDATE—The trends evident for few days in several Alameda County primary elections are beginning to solidify follow a large update released Monday evening by the Alameda County Registrar of Voters. Countywide turnout is now up to 24.02 percent.
—Alameda County Sheriff candidate Yesenia Sanchez extended her lead to an increasingly certain outright victory over the incumbent Sheriff Greg Ahern. Alameda County Superintendent of Schools candidate Alysse Castro’s narrow lead over the incumbent L.K. Monroe also grew.
—Measure B, Alameda Unified School District’s $298 million school facilities bond measure, ticked over the 55 percent needed for passage on Monday. Support for Measure B is now at 55.26 percent.
—Below are the top gainers in Monday’s updated results, the candidates who saw the largest decreases, in addition, to updated results from all the East Bay primary races:
