DA PRICE RECALL
—PAMCHESA—When you’re a progressive district attorney facing the prospects of a recall, it’s probably not the best idea to make public appearances with the progressive district attorney from across the bay who actually got recalled a year ago.
—But that’s what Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price, now under the dark cloud of a potential recall, is be doing later this month.
—Price is scheduled to appear at the Wellstone Democratic Club in Oakland with recalled San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin on Aug. 24, at the First Presbyterian Church on Broadway.
—During last year’s election, Price never really shied away from inherent similarities between her progressive policies and those of the recalled San Francisco DA.
—Several of Price’s new-hires at the Alameda County DA’s office are Boudin alumni.
—Price even did Boudin a solid back in April 2022, see below, by helping him attempt to avoid a recall at the same time she was in the stretch run for the June Primary in Alameda County.
—Price attributed the recall campaign against Boudin to influential Asian Americans upset about Boudin’s progressive policies, which may have been prescient to her current situation. Asian Americans in the East Bay appear to be leading the charge for a recall of Price.
