ALAMEDA COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY
—CAN I SPEAK TO YOUR MANAGER?—Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price’s is taking her war on the media to another level. The main focus of Price’s ire has been the dogged coverage of ABC7’s Dan Noyes.
—A group of former Alameda County prosecutors say Price has complained to higher ups at ABC News and ABC7 management about what she believes is unfair coverage of her office.
—On the group’s private Facebook page, they are urging members to email ABC7’s general manager and news director in support of Noyes’ coverage.
—It’s unclear what part of Noyes’ coverage is faulty. In fact, Price and her supporters have labeled any negative media coverage of her office as “misinformation.”
—Elected officials complain about negative media coverage all the time and editors almost always scoff at such complaints. Assuredly, ABC executives will do the same here.
—In fact, this type of move by Price brings the opposite of the intended effect, and only encourages more stories and with a greater zeal.
