—ROAD MAP RELEASED—An appointed Alameda County district attorney could be sworn in by the end of January, according to a timeline published by the Board of Supervisors on Friday.
—If the proposed dates and process for replacing recalled Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price is approved on Tuesday afternoon, the window for applications will begin on Wednesday and run through the end of business on Dec. 30.
—On Jan. 6, the newly sworn-in Board of Supervisors will determined a list of applicants to be interviewed a week later.
—The appointee, who will serve through the June 2026 election, could be selected sometime between Jan. 16 and Jan. 23, according to the proposed timeline.
—The successful applicant would be sworn in on Jan. 28.
—Among those interested in the appointment are Rep. Eric Swalwell, California Chief Deputy Attorney General Venus Johnson, Former Alameda County prosecutor L.D. Louis, and Alameda City Attorney Yibin Shen.
